The Parks Canada visitor centre in Haines Junction, Yukon, is an important gateway for visitors to Kluane National Park and Reserve. NGX created ten digital exhibits for the Park that capture the imagination of the audience by echoing the grandeur of the physical landscape.
A 10-foot wide 3D Topographic Model of the park, surrounded by digital tablets, is a focal point of the exhibit space, inviting visitors to explore a digital version of the 3D model.
Nearby, visitors learn about recreation opportunities within the park at the Explore Kluane exhibit using tablets and a large interactive map, while the Digital Bulletin Board presents up-to-date park notices and a live weather forecast.
The Discovery Exhibit features three programs about animals in the park, including Moose, Pika, and Grizzly Bears. These exhibits use motion-sensing audio calls, real GPS data of animal movements, and breathtaking imagery to engage curious visitors. Other highlights include: a virtual flip book, an interactive story about surging glaciers, and an interactive 360-degree panorama of Mount Logan, Canada’s highest peak!
“NGX was able to work with our team and our partners to pull out what was the essence of each story and make it engaging for the user. NGX is a wonderfully creative, dynamic and professional team.”
