In 1858, gold fever spread around the world as people learned about Fraser Canyon’s riches, drawing thousands of people to an area of British Columbia that, until that time, was largely unexplored. NGX teamed up with the Royal BC Museum to create 8 unique multimedia exhibits for the museum’s Gold Rush! El Dorado in BC exhibition that tells the dramatic story of the gold rushes of the 1800’s and how they changed our world forever – and still influence it today. The digital experiences included poignant documentary films, vibrant projected animations, a story-driven interactive quiz, and an inspiring film montage.
This exhibition was created in collaboration with the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, Quebec, and the Museo del Oro in Bogota, Columbia and ran from May 13th to October 31st, 2015 at the Royal BC Museum. The exhibition then moved to Ottawa to be featured at the Canadian Museum of History before continuing on to Guangzhou, China at the Guangdong Museum of Chinese Nationals Residing Abroad. “Gold Mountain Dream! Bravely Venture into the Fraser River Valley” ran from November 5th to December 20th, 2015.
“The skilled and creative storytelling of the NGX team brought the quality of the exhibits to another level. ”
