Beaty Biodiversity Museum
The Beaty Biodiversity Museum’s “Footprints in Time” is a mission-driven exploration and online exhibit designed to captivate the interest of Canadian students in Grades 4-7. Inspired by the real-life nature of field research processes and researchers, the exhibit will encourage visitors to learn about dinosaurs, experience a virtual trackway, and then explore related species. Immersive visuals, along with a striking “field report” aesthetic and content approach, will appeal to the visitors’ budding sense of adventure and discovery.
Visitors will combine real-life footage from research sites, interviews with researchers, insights around the scientific method, and implications to contemporary life. This exhibit will uncover a new perspective and world of understanding connected to dinosaurs, and the Canadian paleontologists who have dedicated their lives to their study.
