HR Macmillan Space Centre
The H.R MacMillan Space Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada is a hands-on astronomy museum founded in 1968. This project follows on from a successful collaboration between NGX and the Space Centre to produce the Mars Exploration exhibit.
Alien Encounters will allow visitors to explore and learn about habitable exoplanets before morphing themselves into the alien species that could potentially reside there. The primary goal of the exhibit is to inspire visitors’ curiosity about life on other planets and to have visitors feel more connected to those possible lifeforms. Running for over 25 years, the original exhibit has been completely refreshed for today’s visitors through cutting-edge technologies and new learning strategies.
