Katirvik Cultural Centre

At the Katirvik Cultural Centre, stories bring the community together. The Centre is a place where Inupiaq, Central Yup’ik, and St. Lawrence Island Yupik youth and elders can meet, share skills and stories, and learn from one another. NGX collaborated with AldrichPears and 3DS to create a series of multimedia exhibits for the Katirvik Cultural Centre in Nome, Alaska to help build and strengthen these connections.

The digital exhibits complement the artefacts in the Cultural Centre through compelling and easily accessible stories, dynamic imagery, visitor-generated content, archival material, and full-length oral histories. Residents will help the center evolve from year to year by contributing knowledge, language, art and stories to these inviting and informative multimedia pieces.
