Science World British Columbia
Science World at TELUS World of Science’s new Our World gallery has the most honest of critics: children. To captivate this young clientele, the team designed exhibits where fun meets storytelling and real-world play!
Water Cannons! There is no denying that kids + water = fun. The water cannon game helps users visualize water conservation and sparks conversation… all while having a blast. The game utilizes digital projection, sensors, and custom-made water guns.
Bathtubs! Using a touch screen visitors drag various food choices to their virtual plate – then the exhibit fills virtual bathtubs with water for creative data visualization to show how much water it takes to produce that food.
Garbage! This game tests visitors’ knowledge of recycling by asking them to sort ten real-life objects into two bins – garbage or recycling? Using RFID tags and sensors the exhibit detects which objects are in the correct bins and scores the player on how well they know their stuff.
“The NGX team provided us with effective project processes, visitor-focused interactive exhibits, reliable software solutions and durable design, and proactive and positive communications. Their team is skilled, creative, solutions oriented, and relationship-driven.”
