Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children
As part of the renewal of the Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children in East Vancouver, the BC Children’s Hospital is planning an immersive interactive art exhibit for children with autism or other neurological challenges. NGX is once again partnering with the foundation, Aesthetics Inc, and the Vancouver Aquarium. Current plans focus on bringing physical murals to life with digital art that appears in response to interaction by the young patients. The digital experience will be planned carefully to surprise and delight the children while also being appropriate and safe for these young visitors.
In 2017, the BC Children’s Hospital opened their new Teck Acute Care Centre. As part of this endeavour, NGX created an Virtual Aquarium Gesture Exhibit to create a positive distraction and improve the patient experience for the new ER’s visitors. The project was a collaboration between the hospital foundation, Aesthetics Inc, and the Vancouver Aquarium. Read more about that project here.
