Overview

In 2016, the Lone Star Flight Museum transformed its visitor experience via a complete redesign of its 130,000 square foot exhibit space.

ngx collaborated with project designers, curators, interpreters to bring to life Texas’ rich aviation heritage, activating the incredible story of aviation progress through the 20th century. Diverse media integrated seamlessly into the space allow visitors to explore the fundamentals of flight, technological advances, and the pantheon of Texan pilots that drove aviation progress.

The “Briefing Room” mini-theatre space was conceptualized as an introduction to Lonestar’s “Flight Academy,” where primary and middle-school aged experience hands-on explorations of flight dynamics.

The animated short presents a playful journey through principles of flight, inspired by a Terry Gilliam visual language and irreverent cartoon dialogue.
