Overview
In September 2023, Toronto Sickkids Hospital celebrated the opening of the new 22-storey Patient Support Centre which supports more than 1,000 world-class trainees, students and learners annually. We were honored to be chosen to design one of the large scale artworks situated in the main lobby of the new Centre.

Special considerations around patient sensitivities were paramount through the design process. Similar consideration was given to ensure everyday functions of this busy environment would not be impeded.
Our design process took inspiration from naturalistic forms found in nature, culminating in a waterfall-like formation of white domes built into the fabric of the wall. The lights subtly change colours and merge throughout the day creating a sense of slowing-falling droplets of colour.
