An augmented glimpse into the past

Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum House
Interpretive augmented reality (AR)

Dubai, UAE

Overview

The Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum House—part of the Al Shindagha Museum complex—was once the residence of the longest-serving ruler of Dubai.

To bring the iconic fort to life while respecting its historic identity, ngx integrated AR touchscreens that invite visitors to actively explore the site’s history and the people connected to it. This work built on the established creative vision of the fort transforming into a museum.

To uncover the architectural stories embedded in this historic royal home, ngx built a set of augmented reality viewers. Unobtrusive and integrated into the space, the digital experience features an interactive architectural model, elegant 3D animation, and bilingual interpretive copy that allows visitors to visualize and discover the building's hidden gifts.
