Overview
As part of our patient wellness work, ngx brought the ocean into a children’s hospital Emergency Room. Animated marine life responds to visitor movements through touchless, camera tracking. Designed collaboratively with patient groups, the digital interactive eases waiting for patients, parents, and siblings while meeting strict clinical health and safety standards.
Diving Into the Waiting Room
Up to six visitors can engage with a vibrant marine environment across nine interlocking 46” screens. Through prototyping and evaluation, the ngx team challenged assumptions about visitor expectations, ensuring the experience meets the needs of the hospital, its patients, and staff.
