Overview
For an immersive exploration of the American Revolution and the nation building that followed, ngx developed a series of exhibits that distilled complex historical narratives into engaging visitor experiences. The exhibit’s centrepiece is a stunning recreation of the battle of Yorktown.
Narrative Precision
Our visual work blends historically-inspired cartography with contemporary flourishes that echo the musical’s approach. Narrative design distilled months of military maneuvers and diplomatic agreements into an original script. The performance balanced historical specificity with an uncluttered visitor experience across a range of scales—from the sweep of Atlantic naval strategy to closely contested tactical engagements.
We iteratively prototyped the technology to ensure reliability and resilience. This project pushed our already strong prototyping and R&D process, and expanded our capacity to integrate bespoke physical and digital objects to create something unprecedented.
