Expo 2020 Canada Pavilion
360° film and immersive experience
Dubai, UAE
Overview
We partnered with the Canadian federal government and architects Moriyama & Teshima to represent Canada at the 2020 World Expo in Dubai. We worked closely with Lord Cultural Resources to develop the core experiential concept for the Pavilion—a national showcase of Canada’s diverse communities, vibrant innovation culture, and Indigenous reconciliation journey. Working with over 20+ partners, ngx was the exclusive media producer for the Pavilion.

We’d like to thank our project partners:
Our media experience sat at the heart of the Pavilion—a 360° immersive show that integrated film, motion graphics, lighting, and an original score to capture Canada’s spirit. We integrated large-format animation with spatial sound design to create an immersive production that translates complex cultural legacies and national mythologies into a compelling experience.
An Indigenous Lens
Indigenous perspectives were integral to the vision. We worked with Petal Furness, an Indigenous storyteller and cultural liaison, who established relationships that allowed us to collaborate with Indigenous artists, composers, and performers throughout our production process.
